Big Prayers From Little People

Not long after we brought Lorelai home from the hospital, Ellaree was asking if Mommy could have another baby. I told her that it was not up to Mommy & Daddy to have another baby but that it was up to God with his will and his timing. I told her that if she really wanted to have another baby that she needed to pray to God and tell him. After that moment, Ellaree was praying during every meal and at night to God for another baby. Harry and I decided that with my past history of having a hard time getting pregnant that we would not try to try having a baby.

Well Ellaree's prayers paid off and on Tuesday, May 11th, my 2nd day back to work, I had a positive pregnancy test. On Monday, May 26th we went to see Dr. Paul Silva, my fertility doctor, and had a confirmed ultrasound that all is well with the baby. Baby is in the right spot, 125 heart beat and looking good. Not really the way we had thought it would go but we are estatic all the same. Ellaree and God must think we can go a little longer being sleep deprived.

My due date is January 11, 2011! Yes, this is only 1 month from Lorelai's 1st birthday. But remember that I will go earlier then this date as we will have another c-section. So they will be close in age, which I think will be ok and we can just transition from Lorelai on formula to this new baby.

I have to admit that with each of these pregnancies, having had such a hard time getting pregnant and/or difficulties through the pregnancy that we have never taken any of these for granted and we thank God every day for our beautiful and wonderful blessings that he has given us. God has definitely been very good to us.

We are looking forward to this journey one more time and finally meeting this blessing from God in January.
